Scott Taylor is a unique Singer Songwriter from Sacramento CA. A Multi-Talented Instrumentalist with a strong voice and a dynamic songwriting style. His music has been reviewed as timeless, a blend of new and old, instantly recognizable as his own.
He started playing guitar at the age of 12 and was greatly influenced by his Grandfather, Don Stoll an accomplished musician and singer. He quickly learned on his Acoustic Guitar, and when he asked for an Electric, his parents told him to learn "Classical Gas" thinking it would take him awhile. The next day when he played it to their amazement, he got his Electric Guitar. He continued to play and spent many hours locked in his room with a Guitar. He started playing the piano in the garage of his family's home where it was stored and quickly learned he could play pretty much every instrument by ear.
Scott started the "Scott Taylor Band" locally in Sacramento with local musicians and played live at many local establishments. During this time his desire to record his music became an obsession. He started building a Studio in his home, while recording at local Recording Studio's and San Francisco at the famous "Hyde Studio". Not completely satisfied with the results, he decided to travel to LA to record at a studio in Orange County, where he recorded songs such as "Hollywood, Dreams, Tan Skin, & Writing Letters. Scott continued to build up his Recording Studio in Sacramento, adding a special Reverb Chamber for vocals. He headed back to record his next CD. The Coincidence CD, was written, recorded and enginered by Scott. He played all Guitar, Cello, Piano, and Bass tracks himself. He recorded all Vocals using his Reverb Chamber, finally getting Vocals that truly reflected his voice.
With all of the Instrumental Tracks finally recorded and Vocals for the first 5 songs, Scott headed to LA to mix with Grammy Award Winning Mixer Clark Germain at Wonderland Studio's in the Hollywood Hills.
Knowing that promotion of the music was a crucial next step, he decided to start the process while also continuing to finish the Vocals for the next 5 songs. He is currently playing and touring with a local LA Band.
Scott is also very involved with writing and producing music for other artists, and creates fluently in many Genres of Music.
