Bio
Scott C. Brooks is an Appalachian bluesman living on top of the Allegheny Front with his wife on their farm. A prolific composer of slide guitar blues rags and reels and classic blues music, he is also a songwriter and studio producer of mountain blues. He is just off the WV US 219 music trail.
Mountain blues is an eclectic style that incorporates southern delta blues, ragtime, and old time styles. Today I continue that tradition of borrowing from lowland blues, jazz, classical ( via public radio), gospel, and bluegrass. The new Appalachian Blues album Lit is now available from itunes and many other streaming and download services.
