“Sayer McShane”... have you seen this act? I had read about them and wanted to see how they actually sound and if they can pull it off. They can! Kristin Sayer on guitar, bass, lead vocals and Carolyn McShane on drums, keyboards & vocals. The live show has Kristin on guitar & vocals and Carolyn on drums and vocals, the rest they prerecord. What you hear is a full band and they sound great. It's mostly covers, but the originals are great. I immediately bought their CD and it's very good.
I don't mean to sound sexist, but there are a lot of women out there who play... but really don't play that well, these 2 are not of that camp. Kristin's guitar work is searing, she really tears up some serious rocking lead work. Carolyn's drumming is rock solid and dead-on. The lead vocals are very strong and emotional; the harmonies are clear and strong and really fill it up. On top of that they look like they're really having a great time doing a great show and the positive energy grabs the crowd. Sick of seeing the same old thing? Check these guys out. - Raleigh Music Dot Com - Neal D Bluesman

They are going to be playing the OutRaleigh Festival for the second year
running, OBX PrideFest and have opened for acts like Edwin McCain, Buddy
Guy and Robin Trower as well as played for the NHL Hockey All Star Game in
Raleigh. They were featured at the North Carolina State Fair and and were
nominated for Detroit and Carolina Music Awards.
"The Girls!" play a unique blend of rock, blues, Motown, funk, soul and
pop. Some artists are great performers where some are great entertainers.
Sayer McShane is both. Originally from Detroit, MI the band appeals to a
diverse audience, always surprising people with their big sound while
playing the core instruments guitar and drums and singing over the top.
Kristin Sayer “The Git-tar Player” sings lead, plays guitars, bass, keys,
tenor sax, drums, writes, arranges and produces their music. Carolyn
McShane “MC Shane” sings lead, harmony, plays drums, percussion, keys,
guitars, records and engineers their music.
They always thrill crowds with their powerful yet sensual performances and
entertain with their fun, upbeat, interactive dialogue in and between
songs. Sayer McShane really put on an amazing show unlike anything you've
seen before.
