Tour:
Over the last two years, Sareena has performed in Switzerland, Poland, England, Scotland and very regularly in Ireland where she is always invited to play some great venues. The highlight of her last tour was the famous Oxegen Festival just outside Dublin.
During autumn 2013 Sareena will be touring the USA playing in San Francisco; Austin, Texas and New York.
Her tour is being planned for 2014, taking her back to her home country, Switzerland.
Album:
At the beginning of 2013 Sareenas first studio album was released. It was recorded at Windmill Lane studios in Dublin, the same place U2 recorded their earlier albums. Overwater has attracted lots of attention both in Ireland and her native Switzerland. Three titles from the album have airplays in Switzerland!
Band:
If I'm not playing solo or in a duo with standing bass, I play with two backing vocalists, a fiddler, a flute and Uilleann Pipe player and a drummer!
Influences:
My music has been very much influenced by the celtic folk music, but also pop. I got inspiration from the fallowing artists: Loreena McKennitt, Sarah McLachlan, Tracy Chapman, Alanis Morissette, Joni Mitchel (to only name a few).
