The easiest way to describe Sarah Dooley’s music would be if you were to take Regina Spektor’s beautifully crafted lyrical style and blend it together with the captivating vocal harmony of Cat Power’s Chan Marshall. - The Aquarian Weekly
Sarah Dooley is the latest, and current favorite, in my existential love affairs with hyper-quirky NYC singer/songstresses. - Philthy Magazine
Sarah Dooley, however, knows how to be clever, a little whimsical (but not overboard) and very deft at juggling with her lyrics and arrangements. It takes subtlety, confidence and skill to do this and Sarah Dooley has it. - Popdose.com
Music world, meet Sarah Dooley! - Examiner.com
Sarah Dooley is one of the most intelligent, relevant and insightful artists on the scene right now and Stupid Things is a superb debut. Very Highly Recommended. - Rust Magazine
The range of her material is rivaled only by that of her musical talents. This girl has got it all. - Innocent Words Magazine
Dooley became a campus celebrity as an undergraduate at Columbia University. She won over Internet critics with a comedy Web series. She combines sweetness and irony in some irreverent lyrics. - NPR
Dooley's enchanting voice navigates these bumpy transformational roads as if they were dramatic monologues, every note swelled with tangible joy or despair or, most often, wistfulness. There is remarkable nuance in her nostalgia, an overarching search for fulfillment and meaning that belies Dooley's chipper pop style, making her eminently relatable. - Huffington Post
