Depois de lançar o CD "São Sons", a dupla Estrela Leminski e Téo Ruiz lança um DVD do show que sucedeu o álbum - com a adição de músicas inéditas. Além do DVD, que traz a banda tocando no TELAB da FAP, em Curitiba, em agosto de 2012, o lançamento inclui o CD de 2010 como bônus.
Todo em P&B, o vídeo mescla imagens da banda tocando com projeções num telão que complementam as letras das canções. No encarte que acompanha o DVD, além da ficha técnica e das letras, é possível ler pequenos comentários dos músicos sobre cada uma das faixas. "Ávida", por exemplo, nasceu com Estrela pensando no filho que ela e Téo estavam planejando; a letra fala que o Destino é um menino. No telão, cenas de um garoto dão cara ao Destino. No texto que acompanha a letra, Estrela conta que o casal 'encomendou' um garoto no mesmo mês que a canção foi composta.
Misturando MPB com elementos ora regionais ora emprestados do pop, Estrela Leminski e Téo Ruiz não se prendem a rótulos. Mas há uma constância na música do duo, uma unidade promovida pelos arranjos feitos em grupo, com o restante da banda, que acabam por dar unidade à música e, consequentemente, ao show.
Tudo é tão coeso e 'redondinho' que é difícil acreditar que muitas das canções nasceram de improvisos, de repente. O refrão de "Parecer", por exemplo, conta Téo que "estava torto" e foi finalizado por Renato Villaça, um parceiro da banda, que despertou de um sono, enquanto a banda compunha a canção, e depois de sua contribuição, voltou a dormir.
"Parecer", aliás, é um dos destaques do DVD, com seus teclados e dedilhados suaves em perfeita harmonia com o dueto entre Téo e Estrela. O grove de faixas como "Cada Cabeça Uma Sentença" empolgam e os momentos que trazem guitarras pesadas e/ou ruidosas e baixo marcante, como "São Sons" ou "Finto é Ínfimo", também chamam a atenção, remetendo ao rock setentista. O rock poético de "Chose", como Téo o define, é outra música que traz peso - a mais pesada do repertório - e a atmosfera é enfatizada pelas cenas de demolição no telão.
No palco, pequeno e com cenário simples, a iluminação realça um clima intimista. A dupla é acompanhada por Dú Gomide (voz, guitarra), Érico Viensci (voz, baixo), Alonso Figueroa (acordeon, teclados) e Denis Mariano (bateria). O show contou com algumas participações especiais: Kleber Albuquerque, no tango/bolero "Verossímil", e Bernardo Bravo, em "Trago" - faixa que, deferente das outras, foi gravada na Casinha (Curitiba) e traz imagem colorida.

Estrela Leminski and Teo Ruiz are part of the new generation of the Brazilian music, recognized by public and media countrywide. They participate in many projects such as the Retrato Collection, promoted by the website Musicoteca, which reunited versions of songs from the group Los Hermanos. Their album "So Sons" ended up in tours in Argentina, Europe and in many Brazilian cities. It was also considered one of the best albums of 2011 and figured in the nominees of the Brazilian Music Awards of the same year.
The artistic content is enhanced by the duet in a way so the people can establish a connection with the lyrics. Music, text and poems are merged in their work.
The concert "So Sons", now registered in DVD, presents a multimedia atmosphere with images that form a complementary scenario for the songs.

THE MOST RECENT WORK - LEMINSKANÇÕES (SONGS OF THE POET PAULO LEMINSKI)

Few things remain as hard to spot as an artist’s genius. This is how the multiplicity of Paulo Leminski (1944-1989) reverberates in his native Brazil, whether in old or new ways to express language: as a poet, writer and explorer of human nature and the artistic ways it can be expressed. His essence remains perennial, undeniable, and necessary.
Besides his contributions to poetry, Leminski also experimented with music. Those who know his work and are attuned to his style already knew that classic tunes in the voices of artists such as Caetano Veloso, Arnaldo Antunes, Itamar Assimpção and Paulinho Boca originated from Leminski. His work is now being rediscovered with even more interest, the generational shock creating new points of contact in a sensorial web. After the reissue of his literary classics, Leminski was welcomed into the museums with an exhibit about his life and this resurgence is now expanding into music as well.
The double-album “Leminskanções” is the project that succeeds in bringing to life this aspect of the artists’ career. After six years of research in Leminski’s personal archives, Estrela Ruiz Leminki – not only his daughter, but a writer, poet, composer and singer in her own right (and with partner Téo Ruiz) – has released a wonderful record of previously unreleased songs, as well as her father’s better known collaborations.
The record is released under the name “Estrelinski e os Paulera,” an evident joke (in Portuguese) with both her and her father’s name, with the “Paulera’s” being the musicians who so aptly perform the songs. The group exists in two main incarnations, in Curitiba and São Paulo, the cities in which the album was recorded. The first disc is comprised of new songs – meaning songs that had never been released by Leminski –, while the other showcases some of his work with partners. In order to celebrate the importance and the communal feeling of the project, “Estrelinski e os Paulera” invited a number of artists to take part in the songs, names such as Arnaldo Antunes, Zeca Baleiro, Zélia Duncan, Serena Assumpção, Ná Ozzetti, Bernardo Bravo and André Abujamra.
It is good timing for all of those who have been enticed by Leminki’s writings and want to expand their knowledge of his work. As hard is it may be to spot an artist’s genius or to recreate his intentions, “Leminskanções” shows a universe of great potential. It is possible to hear in these recordings what has turned a writer into an icon who can be reconstructed in multiple ways and still stand the test of time. This album does not rest on the simple laurels of “previously unknown” material, but has in itself strength and coherence; it shows a path that could well have been trodden by the composer, had he lived longer. This is an organic web, one made from people, places, art and thoughts. It is not only meant to please us now, but to stay with us and, like so much of Leminksi’s oeuvre, to remain relevant even once we are gone.

The live version of “Leminskanções” includes most of the songs included in the double album, with the possibility of different casts of musicians. It can, for example, be played by the core players of “Estrelinski e os Paulera” or grow to include special appearances by guests who have participated in the recording.
