We are Salt Licked. A music duo from Perth, Australia. We’ve been simmering a slow-like-honey electronic mix, with a nod to Massive Attack, Lamb and Portishead.
Our two piece is a simple formula. Bree van de Zuidwind’s vocals soothes the senses into a reverie. Geoff Baker works with crisp and crunchy beats, etherial soundscapes. We pepper the mix with live guitars and keyboards, giving our sound a fullbodied flavour.
Salt Licked have washed ashore in the cold northern hemispheres from the scorching summer heat of Western Australia. Through a series of happy accidents we've found ourselves in Leiden.
We started playing music in 2009, as a cheap alternative to therapy. We transport the scratchy glitches of life into music that is gently beautiful, sometimes disturbing, creating permeable membranes between the inner and outer worlds.
