I Love It!
Great Pop Rock! Can't find much to fault here. As a producer, this is the kind of band I would absolutely LOVE to work with.
The production overall is first-rate. Great playing, great sounds, and a spot-on PERFECT vocal!
I would buy this up in a heartbeat and I hope I get to hear more as I review more acts over the next few days!
AWESOME!!!

Great track, these guys should be in the top 10 - A1 production and recording quality, lots of power in the mix and in the sounds. Really tight playing, especially from the rhythm section, the main riff is a killer, this is real rock. I can't really criticise this in any way - the arrangement is faultless, vocals are brilliant - backing vocals are brilliant too, great lyrics 'immortalise me' yeah!! ...well this song is so good it's nearly immortal already so you are halfway there. Well done - great rock.

“We have been so blessed to have Salient ROCK out a recent outreach event. The NEWS is still Salient!!! Thanks so much for not only putting on a great show but over and over again I have heard both parents and students say how much they appreciate your heart to minister to the students as well. You guys were truly the perfect fit for our first big outreach event here."

Salient was our featured artists for the kickoff of RAISE THE PRAISE 2009. Having not seen these guys previously I wasn’t quite sure what to expect.
Recordings and videos don’t do these guys justice; amazingly solid, true showmen, and very passionate about Christ and reaching out to the youth of this generation.
THESE GUYS ARE THE NEXT BIG THING! GET READY!

"If you want a band that delivers straight forward, head on rock-n-roll while maintaining a very high level of professionalism and musicianship then look no further than Salient.
We had the honor of working with these guys and were impressed by them as a band and as men in this industry."

I haven't heard anything this original in quite some time. It was refreshing. I hope to hear more from you guys soon and good luck to you.

I have the tremendous opportunity to work with over 3,800 bands that have graced the three stages of our facility. Although there have been many acts that have possessed remarkable talent, it is easy to become so accustomed to bands that few stand out any more. And yet there are a small handful that have impacted and impressed me significantly enough that they do not fade into the masses. Salient is one such band.

I was not disappointed when Salient performed (at our venue). The connection was evident. Attendance doubled for Salient's return performance 4 months later!

Salient really added quality to our festival. Festival goers who had never heard them before were drawn in and commented that they were impressed with their musical talent. The stage manager was impressed with their friendly humble demeanor and said is was evident that Christ is at the center of their ministry.

Salient is a full time professional signed band that provides a high energy rock show backed by nearly seven years of national touring experience and radio play.
SALIENT can perform on your production or can provide a professional line array concert sound system that will cover up to 5,000 seats (lighting also available and all subject to additional charges).
Ask any given band why it exists, and something about “wanting to rock” is likely to be stated. There’s nothing wrong with that, of course, but a stage-shaking act like Nashville-based Salient stands out for knowing more precisely its reasons for all those late night rehearsals, finely-tuned original melodies and riffs, and long drives from home to entertain a growing number of fans.
“We create this music together because we love the experience of combining our individual gifts into something greater than any one of us,” says Mark Duckworth, Salient’s personable and purposeful front man. “We do it for the moment when everything clicks . . . when a song is being shared, when an audience is participating in what we’re communicating.”
To date, Salient has made a tight connection with seemingly every type of crowd: at college campus gigs from Dallas to Detroit, intermission shows at National Hockey League games, sharing stages with Switchfoot and others, and hundreds of concerts for youth and church events nationwide. And following the success of a recent independent radio hit, “Immortalize Me,” the edgy quartet also caught the attention of Grammy-nominated guitarist Barry Blair (Audio Adrenaline, dc Talk).
What Salient communicates so well on The Constant State of Change—its new album produced by Blair—is an understanding of every person’s need to be loved without condition.
“We believe true unconditional love can only come from one place, so we sing about the access we've found to that place,” Mark explains. “The common factor in any relationship—romantic, family, or spiritual—is the change it goes through constantly, whether in deepening intimacy or in gradual decline. Through these songs, we deal with different points in the arc of a relationship, all from the most hopeful perspective possible.”
Favorably compared by others to Foo Fighters, Live, Collective Soul, and Stone Temple Pilots, Salient is decidedly brighter in its lyrical approach, always aiming to counter the sometimes-negative influences of mainstream media (“Call us sheep in wolves’ clothing,” laughs Duckworth). “Life Outside The Lines” opens The Constant State of Change in search of “truth that changes lives” and finds wisdom from “learning the hard way.” Likewise, riding in on a fierce, Jimmy Eat World-like arrangement, “Adaptation” spins hope out of a dissolved romance.
“It may seem like a breakup song, but it's really an anthem of empowerment for the days after a relationship ends,” explains Mark. “It's about forgiving faults in others and ourselves and embracing what is yet to come.”
Other cuts on The Constant State of Change range from brilliant pop (“If You Want Me”) and ultra-intense alternative rock (“My Security”) to stunning balladry (“We Were Free”), deftly covering topics of love, faith, and commitment. Throughout, each Salient member brings a unique sound to the mix. Co-founder Bobby Reinsch first entered the music industry as guitarist for Dove Award-nominated act Daily Planet. His freewheeling, confident playing pairs well with the engagingly direct vocal style of Duckworth; who got his start singing in vocal groups.
