Music

Music throughout his development in the church has played an integral role in keeping him focused on his goal. Through the help and guidance from His Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, he began to listen to a different genre of music which is not commonly heard coming out of the Caribbean which is Christian Contemporary Music. This style of music captured his attention as it is a genre of gospel music which is very poetic in its lyrics.
Later in his life, in the year 2000 he started attending The Bethel Tabernacle Pentecostal Church in Castries, St. Lucia where he was inspired to become a worship minister and pursue his goal in leading the church into intimate moments of worship in the presence of God. There he truly began developing himself musically, singing and playing the guitar and keyboards. He found that the keyboards helped transcend his vocal abilities to a new dimension. He then became inspired by contemporary Gospel Artistes such as Steven Curtis Chapman, Jeremy Camp, Third Day and many more which pushed and encouraged him in his aim to both write and produce his own music.
In 2009 he has now recorded his first single “Your Splendor” which was produced at Boss's Studios. This is to followed by his Album later this year.

Bio
Safros Joseph – Musician, Writer, Arranger and producer, was born in the village of Anse La Raye in the beautiful island of St. Lucia 32 years ago. At the early age of nine Safros who was brought up by his family attending the Anse La Raye Pentecostal church was very fascinated by singers such as Eric Clapton, Richard Max and Brian Adams and their innovative and creative way of playing and singing as well as their style of music arrangements.
His journey three years later at the age of twelve began as he taught himself to play the lead guitar and other instruments. Already singing at church he then started playing the guitar along with the worship team.
With this new found talent he had a burning desire to become a musician, songwriter and producer.

The aim of his music Safros says is “to reach someone at their moment of uncertainty and despair and give them a sense of Hope and Faith that God is able to see them through.” It is now nine years since he has been fully involved in Worship Ministry, as a result Safros says “I now feel the nudge by God and the inspiration to write intimate Worship songs that speak to the heart.
“Music is a universal language that speaks to every creed and race, and sets your soul at peace with reality.”
