Around Nashville there are countless writers nights everywhere you go in town from hotels to restaurants and more. Personally, it is easy to get burnt out on these writers nights because 9 times out of 10, they run way too long, the music isn’t good, and let’s just be honest, some of these people need not apply as they clearly don’t understand the current state of the mainstream artists they are trying to get their songs cut by. However, Ryan Bizarri, is a whole other case. A breath of fresh air. With his 12-song debut album If I Was A Song, Bizarri not only “gets it” but he delivers great performance after great performance that encompasses the mainstream sounds filtering through my speakers on a daily basis. With “I Could Have Been Beautiful,” Bizarri made his name earlier this year as this song became a finalist in the NSAI/CMT sponsored competition and it is easy to see why upon first listen as the song pulls and tugs at you the way that a good song should. He grabs a hold of modern expertise when he presents humor filled songs like “He Rules the Roost” and keeps you moving right along with him on songs like “Big Spender,” which features a cameo appearance by his own daughter. Ryan Bizarri is a Nashville songwriter that clearly sees the bigger picture. He isn’t looking to be so clever with his writing that he misses the mark and confuses people, rather he is just straightforward with his approach and crafts simple, modern country songs making this debut album one that is very easy to sit and listen to. - Today's Country Mag

Bio
Nashville is a city where thousands aspire to stardom, but few actually have the goods to make the big time. But one artist who is making a name for himself for not only his singing and songwriting, but for his belief in the ideal that one doesnt have to sell his soul to achieve success, is Ryan Bizarri.
On his new, all-original 12-song CD, If I Was A Song, Ryan comes across as what he is: a genuine small-town family man whose inspirational modern country music reflects the ideals and moral standards of a seemingly bygone generation. Not coincidentally, his musical influences such legends as Garth Brooks, Brad Paisley, John Denver and Chris LeDoux also are known for their down-to-earth lifestyles, centering on family, friendship, and a quiet faith that has guided many of them through their darkest hours in life in the public eye. A frequent performer at such legendary Nashville singer-songwriter venues as the Bluebird Caf and the Commodore Lounge, Ryan is a standout performer whose name is high on the lists of other Nashville tunesmiths when they are seeking a collaborator with creativity and musical honesty.
A gifted singer, songwriter and musician whose small-town roots tiny Coal Valley, Illinois, to be exact run deep, Ryan's songs strike a chord with lovers of all types of music. The CD opener He Rules The Roost was a multiple award-winner in the international Unisong Song Competition, and the pro-life song She Could Have Been Beautiful, co-written with wife Jennifer, won the Peoples Choice award in that competition's Social/Politcal category, no doubt chosen by listeners who share Ryan's views on family, life and love. Ryan's songs also have been recognized in competitions sponsored by CMT (Country Music Television) and NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International) where I Could Have Been Beautiful most recently was a finalist.
Also included on the If I Was A Song CD are such standout tracks as the touching His Heart Remembers (co-written with his mother Mary about his grandparents); Star Stuff, written for his young daughter, Taylor, who seems bent on stardom with her talent and precocious nature; and the red, white and blue family man anthem Big Spender, which leaves no doubt about what comes first in Ryans life: the people he loves. These songs, and others, all reflect who this outstanding performer is, and will always be, even with his ever-growing success a middle-class man who loves God, his family, his country and his music.
In an era when it sometime seems that morality and civility are taking a back seat to an anything goes mentality, Ryan Bizarri bucks that trend by writing and singing heartfelt, family-friendly inspirational country music. Listen to Ryan Bizarri at www.ryanbizarri.com.
