"While I'm not easily impressed by most new worship music coming out of the industry these days. I was surprised that Kennedy was truly impressive... fondly reminded me of some of the best in Christian music..." - John Dibiase
"We have been so blessed to cross paths with such a gifted songwriter. It's such a privilege to come alongside Ryan and be a part of broadening his reach and sharing the message of his song, 'No Other King'." - Wendy Hughes (Cantinas Foundation Co-founder and Executive Director)
"I'm the entertainment director of a local Christmas Festival 'Sights and Sounds Of Christmas' in San Marcos Texas. The Ryan Kennedy Band was such a great hit with the audience. They were punctual, friendly, and were there for all the right reasons. They prepared a set for us that rang true with our theme and definitely took us above and beyond anything I expected! We will be booking them again for sure! We had spotty showered of rain and our audience stayed until the park closed at 11pm. I am in awe of their talent, management, and true love of their art." - Festival Entertainment Director

Bio
Ryan Kennedy is an internationally touring Christian recording artist and worship leader based in Houston, Texas. Ryan has opened and toured with acts such as: MercyMe (8-Dove Awards), David Crowder (8-Dove Awards), Jonathan Thulin (2 - #1 singles "Dead Come to Life" and "Architecture"), Sarah Kelly (2-time Grammy Nom - "Take Me Away" and "Where The Past Meets Today") and Christy Nockels.
Written on the line of creative art and impactful message, Ryan Kennedy's debut album, "Another Moment", is a fresh mix of musically intricate and captivating tracks with the truths of the cross and it's relevant message of hope and freedom emerging through every lyric.
Ryan was born in Lafayette, Louisiana. When he was six months old, his family moved to Spring, Texas. Homeschooling allowed him to focus on his creative gifting where he would spend up to four hours a day on the piano, practicing and studying composition and orchesration. Ryan also spent much of his young life involved in professional regional theatre, both performing and musically directing at Houston's Threatre Under The Stars and the Houston Grand Opera. At the age of 16, Ryan composed and authored a full-scale broadway musical that was staged a year later. The musical was chosen from a group of over 500 projects to be awarded a large grant funding from the National Alliance for Musical Theatre. The show began to move towards a promising future as talks of moving the production to New York came about in creative meetings with producers, investors, directors. As the show was being further developed towards it's possible off-broadway run, it looked as if Ryan was clearly heading into a career as a musical composer in the world of live theatre, but God had other plans and a much greater purpose for his life.
"You know, it looked like I had it all. At least to me, I had accomplished what I wanted to. Unfortunately, on the way there I'd completely lost my faith. I was so 'in the world', that I had become lost in it. Of course, I still went to church and did the whole Christian thing, but there was absolutely nothing authentic about my religion - and yes, I call it religion, because I had no idea what a real relationship with Jesus really was. But, then - the unexplainable. God works in mysterious ways. In a moment, my life changed. In a moment, God called me back and I did a 180-spin that landed me at the foot of the cross. I experience the grace that I did not deserve and the forgiveness I should not have recieved. But, that's what the truth of the gospel is. The gospel of Jesus rewrites and restores. It's the brightest lighthouse calling out, to those lost at sea, that there is a hope of a return to solid ground."
Ryan's life was completely changed and so were his plans. When God calls someone, He puts His plan into action and it wasn't long before Ryan was leading worship at his church and soon offered a full-time ministry position as the Director of Worship & Creative Arts. God also began to write songs through Ryan, as Ryan was actively experiencing the truths that the lyrics reflect.
Ryan's future in the world of musical theatre quickly faded into the past as God directed him into the world and ministry of christian music. In a series of God orchestrated events, Ryan met and quickly became good friends with two-time Grammy nominee, Sarah Kelly (Take Me Away, Where The Past Meets Today, A Brand New Day, Midnight Sun). Sarah took Ryan under her wing and soon Ryan was recording his first project with Swedish producer, Jonas Ekman (Sweekman).
In December 2013, Ryan began to tour the "Another Moment" EP. The first leg of the tour spanned from California to Pennsylvania and many states in between. During this time, Ryan was named a New Featured Artist by the National Worship Leaders Conference and often makes appearances at NWL Conferences. In late summer 2014, Ryan brought his music overseas to play Frizon, one of the largest Christian Youth Music Festivals in Sweden.
The full album is scheduled to be released early February, 2015. Over two years in the making, the team behind the highly anticipated "Another Moment" LP is an unprecedented group of artists, mixers, and musicians including: Ran Jackson (Katy Perry, For King & Country, LeCrae, The Daylights), Daniel Mackenzie (Bethel Music), Aaron Sterling (John Mayer, John Legend, Brooke Fraser, Kelly Clarkson, Gavin Degraw), Jeremy Hunter (Taylor Swift), Stevie Blacke (Pink, Ellie Goulding, Rihanna), Sarah Kelly (two-time Grammy award nom), and David Thulin (PressPlay, Beckah Shae, Jonathan Thulin).
