Rosewood 2055

Rosewood 2055 aka The 20s, a Grand Rapids, MI based duo comprised of MarQ Beyond and Kysean Bell. 2/3 founding members of The Action Figures Regime Team. 

The name derives from the address of Ottawa Hills High School. Alma Mater to Floyd Mayweather, DeBarge, and Marvin Sapp,  Its the experiences there that influenced Rosewood 2055's story. The two began touring globally in 2013, including several festivals with their mentors Slum Village.

In July of 2015, the duo released their debut Ep titled "HEY". Featuring production by New Yorks resident Dj Statik Selektah.  The HEY Ep garnered 20,000 plays in the first week!! Rave reviews from the critics, rap blogs,dj's and fans alike including 7 stellar videos, a The HEY Ep is averaging over 10,000 plays a month since its debut.

Since the release of HEY, Rosewood 2055 Has been in the studio hard at work on a follow up Ep, "HEREDITARY"  an ode to their Michigan roots, home of Motown and countless music icons. Being groomed in the house that J Dilla built, Under the guidance of his legendary crew, Slum Village the past 4 years. Rosewood 2055, feels that they are equipped to handle whatever's thrown their way, simply put, it's in the blood to make dope innovative music.

The "HEREDITARY" ep featured guest BLU, Rapper Big Pooh, Guilty Simpson, Phat Kat, Illa J and Slum Village. The Ep will be followed up by an album of the same name produced largely by Slum Village producer/member Young RJ and features the Icons Pete Rock, J Dilla, Slum Village and others.
