Robert Davis thinks music audiences need a good laugh now and then. Thats why Robert writes and performs funny songs about those everyday things like Google, cell phones, Canadian movies, Infomaniacs, cheap lovers, smoking drivers, bald spots and Celine Dion.
Toronto-based, award-winning singer-songwriter Robert Davis has been writing and performing songs (and comedy) since 1993. His novelty songs have been featured on the Dr. Demento Show, CBC Radio, Q-107 and non-comm radio.
His songwriting awards include first place novelty/comedy 2011 USA Songwriting Competition, first place Country/Folk and Top 20 Gospel/Christian in the Unisong International Song Contest and Honorable Mentions in the Billboard World Song Contest, NSAI Song Contest and Songdoor.

Roberts creative style of mixing music and comedy stems from his background in writing monologue jokes for Jay Leno, performing stand-up and improv comedy with Theatresports Toronto, working as an advertising copywriter, corporate video and speech writer and writing one-liners for politicians and CEOs.
Roberts solo acoustic comedy show would also make a great opening or support act or as part of a songwriters in the round or comedy songwriting workshop.
Robert's quick wit and stage management and professionalism also makes for a great MC with or without the comedy songs.
