Bio
Somewhere in an Austin road-house saloon and an east bound train you will find Ripe Honey telling stories and sharing original music. This European born singer-songwriter has made her home in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. As an adolescent she looked up to female performers such as Janis Joplin and Etta James and began singing in church choirs at age 8 and was introduced to a guitar at age 12. While attending college, in her spare time she began singing at open mics and college house parties while developing her songwriting. Her songs are thoughtfully crafted images of the joys, hardships and truth of the conditions everyone encounters. The dynamic, soulful and quirky style helps create a unique language all her own. Playing her guitar and singing in bars, at happy hours, and in dance halls, she has honed her sound and progressed as an entertainer, storyteller and performer. In the Summer of 2010 her EP was recorded at the Cheatham Street Studios and mastered by Gary Hickinbotham at the Firestation Recording Studio. With that being her first official release, she is currently recording her full length album.
