To my friends in Texas (and beyond): this guy and his terrific band Duck Creek Station played at Black Mesa Winery's Taos tasting room back in November (after I saw them in Dallas over the summer). If you get the chance to see them, do it! They have a crisp but harmonious sound full of heart and soul. I'd love to see them get more gigs in New Mexico or even southern Colorado. - Laurie Mitchell Dunn (Mgr. At Black Mesa Winery Tasting Room Taos, NM)

Bio
You can describe this native Texan and Americana singer song-writer as a purveyor of acoustic ballads that are blended with his Texas Country Roots, Folk, Gospel, Progressive Bluegrass and Acoustic Blues. The art of storytelling is alive and well in Rickey Gene Wright's original songs. It is often said that his baritone voice is calm and peaceful and his songs make you feel happy even if the story line is sometimes sad. He has continued to write songs and build a (BMI) song catalog, record and perform at solo concerts and perform with the acoustic quartet he founded that is based out of Dallas Texas named "Duck Creek Station" which members include Denise Owen, Martin Delabano and Richie Owen.
