Richard Pigkaso was born in the Castle Hill section of the Bronx and raised on old school Hip-Hop and R&B. "Pigkaso", as he goes by, is a visionary who synergized his love for yoyos and music, to forge a new sound. In his youth he was described as an outcast and a loner. He was often ridiculed for being a little different and marching to the beat of his own drum. In high school, he took an interest in playing with a classic toy -- the yoyo. His love for yoyos eventually took him to competitions across the United States, and even qualified him for a few international meets. Today he continues to master this instrument, but after graduating from college Pigkaso decided to endeavor into a new medium -- music. Though there were many haters who didn't believe in him, he overcame these social stigmas to leave his mark on the world. If you attend one of Pigkaso's performances, you will bear witness to the future of new school Hip-Hop. His first mixtape exemplifies the in-depth sophistication of contemporary audio in sync with a classic rhythmic sound. Now, with a collaboration of extraordinary lyricists and unconventional beats, Pigkaso will be releasing his first LP "Something Different". Like the title, "Something Different" brings forward Pigkaso's expressionistic roots to a melodic tone, unlike anything you've ever seen or heard before. In contrast to most rappers, which have the same generic rhymes or beats; Pigkaso dares to think outside of the box. His exceptional creativity brings a colorful approach to the world of music.
