Cabot Barden has had several songs on the radio over the years. His first record that he wrote was in 1976 with an unknown band at that time called Alabama. The next song that he cowrote was Alabama Is Her Name, which aired in 1989. The next song was Heroes Of Yesteryear, which aired on the radio in the same year. His latest song to reach the airwaves was The Quest, which was originally written as one of the songs he wrote for the movie, Sahara, in 2005.The song wasn't used in the movie at the last minute, but received airplay on the radio in Italy and the United States. The Renegade Band released an album of original tunes in 2009 locally in the central Alabama area.

Cabot Barden is a singer/songwriter/author, who has written and co written several songs that have been played on the radio over the years. He has written the musci score for the movie Sahar in 2004. The music was not used in the movie eventually but the producer had his song The Quest played on the radio in Italy and the U.S. Barden has written three books and is currently working on his fourth. The first three are about musicians, loosely based on his own experiences.
