The procession of guys and gals trickling in steadily from the street were loathe to crowd the stage, lest their Jordans and pumps fill with Last Concert's trademark white sands. Nevertheless, they bobbed their heads gamely to the likes of Screwed Up affiliate Renegade and Big Pup, who brought out partner Dougie D for "Murder," another good one from La Flama Blanca. - Houston Press

Bio
James Lakey, better known by his stage name, Renegade Da Mobsta, (born January 7, 1981), is a rapper from the Lakeside neighborhood in San Antonio, TX. Renegade relocated to Houston, TX in 2000. Renegade was seduced by the rap game at an early age. "I remember the first time I heard the Geto Boys", says Renegade, "them and UGK made me feel like dudes where I was from really had something to say". In 2007, after relocating to Southern California, Renegade, along with G-Wiz and G.I. Fleezy, formed the group Bandkamp. After releasing the critically acclaimed album "Hip Hop Ain't Dead", the group disbanded amicably. Renegade has made a strong name for himself in the industry with his distinguishable voice, street relevant lyrics, truthful punch lines, and his brash delivery. With 2010 came Renegades' 1st mixtape release "Mash Mode Vol.1" and featured solidified artists like Z-Ro and Lil Flip making sure his name resonated through the streets. In March 2014, Renegade released a full length album aptly titled "Dying 2 Live". He names Tupac, Scarface, UGK, Eightball & MJG, DJ Screw, Ice Cube and Z-Ro as his most dominant influences. With new music on the horizon, Renegade is almost certain to cement his place in rap history.
