Red October aka The School Teacher is a female hip-hop artist originally from Virginia. Her style is one that's her own. Very fun, upbeat, gritty, street, funny, entertaining, sexy, hot, sensual, dope, must have, rock so hard, type female entertainer! She does it all and has it all! You cant go wrong! Red October was born Jameelah Ibtihaj Muhammad to two Muslim parents in Newport News, Virginia. Then Red, two brothers, mother and father moved to Yorktown, Virginia At 9 where she discovered her ultimate passion. A young Red would be seen dancing and performing routines for many of her neighbors. Her father took notice of her ability and arranged for her to work alongside other performers at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. 
After 9 years in Yorktown the Muhammads moved to Williamsburg, Virginia. Young Red October furthered her experience by creating her own rap, dance and step groups, as well as  participating in cheerleading, acting and beauty pageants. All of these activities encapsulate the soul of Red October. 
Red October has continued to expand her professional music and acting career. She is the lead narrator for the female depictions  in the educational and  historical documentary called African American Trailblazers featuring Maya Angelou and Cicely Tyson. African American Trailblazers is used in all Virginia public schools as part of the history curriculum. Red has also performed as an opening act for Chris Brown, Plies and various other artists. She has done collaborations with many such as Lil Tiffany of Making the Band, Napolean formerly of the Wu Syndicate, CJ Mckee, N.O.I.S.E. and many others. She has performed at Willett Hall in Virginia, the Florence South Carolina Convention Center, The Legendary Dobbs in Pennsylvania, Auburn Fest in Georgia and many more venues.  
Red has worked with various producers in the industry including; UrboyBlack and Super Producer Lex Luger of the 808 Mafia, Mixx Addix, Eric Manigualt, DJ Tomekk of Boogie Down Berlin, Mayhem Productions and the list goes on. She has grabbed the attention of many blog sites and media outlets including Da man wit 2x’s, JaneFarmerUSA,  Brandeesh757, Seven Cities Movers and Shakers, Empire Radio Magazine, Feen Magazine, World Press, she was also featured in the Star News of Berlin, Germany covering her collaboration with DJ Tomekk and Nena Lored. Her music has been in rotation on many radio stations such as Famous Radio Live, V103 Atlanta, World Artist Radio, 103 Jamz, WDSR radio, Radio Airplay, 101.1 The Fam, 95.7 Jamz , Wrnw1radio Atlanta, and many others.  
Red October is down to earth and very relatable. She is a very hard worker and an upper echelon performer. Her music writing ability is fine tuned and gives her audience the feeling of freedom and fun.. At this level she writes hooks that are certified hits.
