Bio
Born out of sheer will and fueled by the power of a middle finger Reckless Place set upon its inevitable crash course to your ears. After refusing to play "Sweet Child o' Mine" for the 687th time, drummer Steven Dios and singer Michael Cunio escaped the clutches of an ill fated cover band and never looked back. Without a guitarist, bassist (or any formal musical education) the duo proceeded to write, produce and release their aptly titled debut "innocence is no excuse..." Recorded in NYC with guitarist Joel Hoekstra.
Immediately following its release Cunio and Dios went to work on their sophomore effort Six Shooter recorded in Toronto and LA with Bill Bell (Jason Mraz) at the helm and featuring Tristan Avakian on additional guitars. With the addition of Jerk City bassist Ryan Kosinski and guitarist Mike Webb, Reckless Place have continued to evolve their unique and trashy blend of hard, heavy riffs, whiskey soaked melodies and raw, cacophonous percussion.
Reckless Place have performed their packed, sweaty live shows at venues throughout North America including the world famous Knitting Factory in NYC, Chicago's Lasalle Power Co., and Club Oberon in Boston. Members have performed with Serj Tankian (System of a Down), Debbie Harry (Blondie), Dennis DeYoung (Styx), 2011 Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame inductee Darlene Love and been featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show, WGN and ABC.

"...sick guitar solos, thumping bass lines and hard hitting drums that remind you of concerts that you may have attended back in the day, or stories of them."- New York Planet
"Reckless Place has the appeal of Gun 'n' Roses, and Velvet Revolver, hard hitting and just great riffs. They are able to create a dynamic in rock that is not often seen, and is a testament to their songwriting talent."- The Independent Music Scene
Through their fast and furious paeans to lust, estrangement and ambition Reckless Place don't seek to save souls or change lives, they just want to arm their fans with enough piss and vinegar to survive in an unjust world. And get laid.
