Bio
Reboot The Robot is an indie acoustic rock band hailing from Cheyenne, WY. Formed in June 2008 by primary songwriter/vocalist/guitarist Jonathan Ware, Reboot The Robot has seen its popularity and national visibility sky rocket in recent years.
Reboot The Robot was originally intended to serve as an outlet for unwanted songs Ware had written while in another band. These new, unreleased songs were posted on a small MySpace account, where fan interest eventually led to Reboot The Robot's first album, 2009's "Nothing, Something, Everything". The album did so well regionally that it was quickly followed by another album just 6 months later, entitled "When All We Have".
"When All We Have" was released in December of 2009, and quickly established Reboot The Robot as a new force in the national underground music scene. The lyrics became somewhat darker and more personable, yet built on the foundation set previously on "Nothing, Something, Everything".
Reboot The Robot's third album, "This Heart Was A Bomb", saw a drastic change in production value. Whereas the first two RTR albums had a certain amount of polish, "This Heart Was A Bomb" ditched the aforementioned production value in favor of a more raw and powerful, yet stripped down, acoustic sound. The song "Girls Are The Devil" became an instant fan hit.
After three primarily acoustic albums, Reboot The Robot enlisted the help of Baltimore-based producer Dennis Woo to help craft the sound of RTR's first full band album. Recorded in the summer of 2011 and released on December 13 of the same year, "There and Now" became Reboot The Robot's fastest selling album to date. The first single, "Losing You" was featured predominently on local radio stations.
In Summer 2012, Reboot The Robot toured nationally with The Extreme Tour, a tour that aims to bring national acts to smaller communities 100% free.
Reboot The Robot is currently working on a covers album and remix album, as well as the follow-up to "There and Now". For more information on Reboot The Robot, please visit http://www.facebook.com/reboottherobot.
