With the capable Mike Crosley filling out the low end on bass, the steady, reliable beats of Doug Dickson on skins, and the diverse sounds of Mac Rogers on guitar, The Surfing Pharaohs takes American Roots music to the next level. The Surfing Pharaohs delivers the goods, whether it's lowdown blues, swamp boogies, or riding the waves of your favorite surf instrumental. It’s not unusual on a given night to hear souped-up versions of songs by Tennessee Ernie Ford or a Johnny Cash-influenced Who song, all played with the energy you would expect from a Detroit band.
