Bio
Rachel has been performing for five years in the Ontario area, opening for Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, Tom Wilson, Stephen Fearing, playing with producer Bob Lanois, and sharing the stage with many well known recording artists. Warrior was recorded in the famous "SHACK" studio in Waterdown. A very specialized analog studio, that boasts two inch Studer recorder, Kneave mixing boards, vitage mics, and Bob Lanois as Producer. What it bears is unquestionably raw, real, true. One can't help but to understand the connection of the simple, natural surroundings fascilitating the unique artistry on the cd. This is a powerful offering to the world of music, and quite frankly before its time. The connection between artists, Rachel and Will is captivating. Clearly one the Dove and one the Eagle. Both sharing the craft of writing, creating music with purpose and meaning. Recently, filmed for cable on a show called The Songhaul, Rachel delivers her newest songs in a very honest intimate way. These songs are a building on her past recording Warrior, and reflects her desire to be a Pilgrim and take it on the road.
The most recent release entitled Rachel Heart builds on a strong foundation of great songwriting with a full band sound. Listeners can relate to Rachel's heartfelt lyrics while they survey a musical landscape created by band members Will Macaulay on guitar, Tony Valcic on drums, Carrie Ashworth on bass. Heart is uplifted to new and exciting terrain a place where one feels welcome, energized and hopeful. Produced and engineered in Orcana Studio Hamilton by Trevor Titiian. Trevor has produced and worked with several Canadian artists including beloved Sarah Machlachlin, Juno Award winning-Harrison Kennedy, Bill Dillon, ect. He has helped perpetuate the highly successful musical talent in Hamilton ON.
