This young artist is a girl on a mission. Having completed her debut album, Qyeendom still finds time to get good grades and spend time with her friends. She is exploding onto the music scene, using her little voice with big sounds. At the age of 13, Qyeendom is very knowledgeable in history, as you will see through her music. Although she has fun with her lyrics, she also likes to encourage and inform others.
Qyeendom started writing lyrics and rapping at the tender age of 10. But under the guidance of her father, she has taken her skills to a whole new level in a year’s time. She memorized all of “Rapper’s Delight”, which is over 13 minutes long, and would amaze others when she’d recite it effortlessly.
Her first single, “I’m A Star” is already on the rise on the Clear Channel music charts. This catchy tune is a fun, upbeat song which makes you want to dance. Another song which was inspired by Qyeendom’s Liberian heritage is “Liberian Qyeen” and also emphasizes the importance of education. Qyeendom has been praised for making positive music for people of all ages to enjoy.
Qyeendom was interviewed by Kidzworld.com and has been the feature artist. Her video, Qyeen’s World, was the most demanded and featured video on Kidzworld for over a month. She was recently awarded by the Las Vegas Music Alliance YEA! Entertainment for Rising Star. She has been selected by radio personality, London Garcia’s Musicboxx, for two consecutive quarters, and was featured on 106 KMEL Radio Station as an up and coming artist. Qyeendom’s single, “I’m A Star”, was retired on 97.7 KWIN Radio Station for winning the Pump It or Dump It Competition, for a record 6 nights straight, where the audience voted for their favorite song.
Qyeendom’s album was released July 11, 2008 and has sold over 50,000 copies. Qyeendom is getting ready to take the world by storm with her catchy lyrics and inspirational messages. She has also written and contributed to most of her songs. At Qyeendom's young age, this young lady’s star is shining brightly.
