Bio
PRSMA (Prisma) is the electronic music project created by Brazilian music producer and designer Leo Mateus, enveloping retro-futuristic, ethereal and outer space nostalgia sounds with a thick coat of magic reverb as it gets layered on top of lo-fi drums.
For over a decade, Leo has been working with visual arts for several media platforms, and always in combination with sound design. Somewhere along the way of many stories told in a visual form, Leo started to experiment with small pieces of sound design, and eventually full music production.
Under the nickname of PRSMA, Leo decided to embark in this adventure surrounded by synth melodies of told & untold stories, tapping into the idea of perpetual youth that lives inside all of us, opening the doors to that place in our brains that makes us dream and feel. And most of all, that makes us relax and chill, because PRSMA is all about that too, and that is for sure - you just need to find your favourite spot and a pair of headphones - and let the music do the rest.
Currently, Leo lives in Canada, inspired by the beautiful nature of the North. Out of a small apartment in Toronto (somewhere around Trinity Bellwoods park), Leo creates all the art, music and visuals for the project, living together with his biggest inspiration - his wife Molly, and Max (the cat).
