"Indie kann manchmal ganz schön einfühlsam daherkommen. Beweis gefällig? Propylaion zeigen, dass der Vorhof nicht immer zur Hölle geleitet, sondern auch in ganz sanfte Gefilde führen kann."
- Lars Kaufmann - www.balcony.tv
"propylaion plays tender acoustic pop on [...] “freedom, regained” a nice charming piece of music without an unnecessary sophistication. Nils Wommelsdorf’s voice is flexible enough to switch between three different pitches, starts Bon Iver-ish and then suddenly reminds me of Toto."
- Pedram Mobedi - www.thiswinkis.com
"Fantastic arrangements. Great raw drum sound, the guitar tone is also really nice and tight. Melody was a lot more diverse than many of the songs in this genre but the vocalist handles it well. Great song, great musicianship!"
- Nate Rentmeester - www.garageband.com
"Propylaion are a cool indie rock/pop band from Hamburg, Germany (...) and I like them. They are just jammy. I strongly suggest you check them out and tell me what you think."
- John Mylan - www.iampopularculture.com
"Was erwartet den Hörer, wenn er oder sie das Album kauft? Eine gelungene Mischung aus Rock, Pop und elektronischen Songs und Sounds. Alles handgemacht mit viel Herzblut und echten Musikern, was in der heutigen Zeit nicht mehr selbstverständlich ist."
- Keno Hellmann - www.liedschatten.com
"Like red hot chili peppers meet Duran Duran. Great musicianship. Tight changes. Great Job, I'm jealous."
- T.J. Franklin - www.garageband.com

Bio
We like funky stuff like Phoenix, Moving Units and Gang of Four.
But our music even goes in a "melancholic pop" direction, like The Whitest Boy Alive or Editors do.
We`ve been playing together since the nineties, the music evolved - and now the band is ready to break through!
