The best kept secret in music

Their lower-than-lo-fi garage-band sound is instantly rousing, and the songs themselves are witty, original, and to-the-point.

Pretty Flowers consisted of a cute boy, an even cuter girl, and a drummer who may or may not have been cute (his low-fitting baseball cap made it difficult to tell). I immediately warmed up to their danceable distortion. Great songs. Great energy. Loud, fast and lots of fun. - Artswire
Self-confessed tardcorers, Pretty Flowers hailing from Brooklyn are here with their self-titled EP. Starting off with “Laura’s Bush” you kind of have the feeling that this isn’t going to be some too-serious music and it’s not. The emphasis is on fun and raunchy humor abounds. Themes consist of sluts, sloppy seconds, and Scheisse movies. I think you get the picture so go grab this punky tardcore album.

What do they [Pretty Flowers] sound like? Take the rawness of the Ramones, the quirkiness of the Pixies, the energy of Green Day and the sex appeal of Blondie and you're close.
- D.I.Y. Diary
Brooklyn’s Pretty Flowers mix crunchy indie punk with boy/girl harmonies and songs about sluts and Scheisse movies. What could be better?

The co-ed trio passes vocals and hooks around in a clean and efficient manner, blasting out decidedly unfussy, petulant, rough-hewn pop songs filled with fuzzy bass, catchy chord changes and naughty thoughts. - High Bias
The clarity and simplicity of Pretty Flowers is well matched with it’s confrontational song titles. From the existential cat- fight "Slut" to the obstreperous and contemplative "Laura’s Bush," it sounds like the sort of music that comes from little cranked Peaveys in garages and coffee shops. Energetic enough that it rocks, yet trash poppy enough that it is not overwhelming. Good solid bass lines hold it all together as both male and female vocals spout pretty catchiness. - The Deli
Their punk-rock style is sometimes overshadowed by the carefully worded lyrics, and thoughtful, almost enigmatic vocal arrangements. Pretty Flowers are more than musicians and entertainers, they are artists with a message for those who take the time to listen. As time marches on, so will this electrifying band as they work their way up the proverbial ladder, to all of the successes that await them. - International Online Music
Their demo was way too short; I wanted to hear more, and I expect others will too. - Tower Records
