Portrait is an Alternative Rock band based out of Toronto, Ontario. '
Portrait began with the efforts of Singer Evan Bowers as he began his search for like-minded musicians. It took a while, but Evan eventually ran into Drummer Robin Mason through the internet. With the first two on the same page, Robin introduced Evan to Bassist Kevin Bailey and Guitarist Andrew Eaton. From there, everything came together quickly for the group and musical chemistry grew.
The project is fueled by the creative efforts of Robin Mason(Drums) Andrew Eaton (Guitar) Kevin Bailey (Bass) and Evan Bowers (Vocals/Guitar) and has been progressing quickly over the past year. With sounds echoing the influences of Brit-rock greats such as Radiohead and Coldplay. Portrait hopes to bring a Canadian twist to a so far primarily British Alt-Rock Genre. Powerful vocals and songs ranging from a 90s rock feel to a 70s psychedelic aura, this band hopes to communicate music of meaning and passion rather than that of the dispassionate and formatted commercial mainstream.
