Polarization

Polarization are an instrumental-rock trio who utilize intricate, ultra-melodic, finger-tapped eight-string-guitar change-ups with syncopated beats and equally complex bass rhythms like well-rehearsed chaos. They have carved a name and niche for themselves with a heady mix of progressive musical ideas, straightforward metal riffs, free jazz and pulsing electronica that has coalesced into a sound that is uniquely their own. Polarization, the brainchild of guitarist and songwriter Prashant Mathias, is rounded out by drummer Tom Asvold, as well as bassist Steve Hilson.

In March of 2012 Polarization signed a world-wide recording contract
with Mediaskare Entertainment. Their critically acclaimed Debut titled
“Chasing The Ligith” was released on August 14th, 2012 through Mediaskare
Records and Sony RED. The band did a west-coast Headlining tour in support of
their release from July 27th to August 17th, playing 18 cities in 21 days.

Polarization have since been featured on Got-Djent.com, Hails & Horns
Magazing, No Clean Singing, Angry Metal Guy, Metal Injection, The L.A. Times,
LebMetal, The Metal Register and several more physical and online press outlets.

Currently working on their follow up album - Release date and title TBA - Polarization
are ligning up tour dates across the U.S. in 2013.
