Play Stop Rewind

Far be it from any of the twenty-somethings that make up the Houston-based alt-rock outfit Play Stop Rewind to say they've got everything figured out.

But when longtime friends Sara Hemingway (lead vocals, drums) and Nat Rennalls (guitars, vocals) formed PSR sometime in 2014, it was the ups and downs of post-college life and relationships, and an obvious passion for music, that fueled the creative fire. Their 2015 debut EP, Repeat, and notable single "The Show", garnered some online praise from indie music blogs and PSR hit the stage at venues across Texas.

Fast-forward to Fall 2016. With a year of gigging experience and songwriting growth, as well as the addition of guitarist Bradley Smith, PSR returned to Westfall Recording Co. of Austin, TX, to bring forth their sophomore EP, 'So This is Growing Up', set for a February 24, 2017 release.

On the record, Hemingway says, "I think we have really grown as a band over the past year. Our first EP was legitimately the first attempt by any of us at ever writing songs, and after spending the last year playing shows all over Texas, going through some line up changes, we are really starting to find our sound. We couldn't be more excited to record the new EP. Personally I feel like I've grown up a lot over the past couple of years and was able to express some of those frustrations and growing pains through my lyrics honestly in this EP. It has always been our goal to write authentic songs and lyrics and I believe we have accomplished that in this record."
