“this Toronto punk act hides the fact that their writing absolutely amazing hooks by painting
themselves as some crazy party punk act. I’m on to them. “Glory Days” is one of the year’s best
songs.” - punknews.org
“If you’re looking for a band to play your eviction party, look no further. Pkew Pkew Pkew
(Gunshots) match beer infused rock riffs with catchy gang vocal choruses, singing songs about
everything from pizza to parties. The guys pride themselves on their live show; an alcohol filled,
upbeat, push mosh mess.” - Indie88

Bio
PKEW PKEW PKEW (gunshots)
Pkew Pkew Pkew (gunshots) or just Pkew as most call them - are a punk rock band who write short, blisteringly catchy shout-along anthems about growing up and giving up, failure in life and love, and getting drunk with your best friends.
On the surface their songs are party anthems that have earned them a reputation for raucous, sweat-drenched live shows. Beneath the surface, the lyrics reflect a deep self-awareness and acceptance of what happens when your life is built on too much booze and too little ambition. This is the soundtrack for a group of guys in their mid-20s who still get drunk in their parents basements, play too many video games, and still think they can skateboard like they did when they were 16.
With lyrics like We're guys we don't cry, we just get drunk, and If those were your Glory Days, Im glad I wasnt around, if those were your Glory Days you must be real shitty now, Pkew write songs that are at once simple enough for an audience to sing-along to on first listen, and clever enough to win them over.
Live, Pkew is a mess of bodies on stage and off, with fans and friends climbing over one another to join in on gang vocals, kids stage-diving left right and center, and, of course, beer spraying everywhere.
Here are some (boring) facts about the band: Pkew x3 have toured Ontario and Quebec extensively alongside bands like Hollerado, Titus Andronicus, Bombay Bicycle Club, Jay Mascis, PUP and others. They have performed at NXNE, CMW, S.C.E.N.E. Fest, Pouzza Fest, and have played live at 102.1 The Edge.
They have also received extensive praise from Exclaim! AUX, PunkNews, CBC, and others. This spring, they have confirmed an 8-date tour supporting radio darlings The Pack A.D., and have future touring plans in the works.
