Peter Light and The Luminaires

NEWS FLASH! Peter Light and The Luminaires will be performing at the Blue Skies Music Festival 2014!

Peter is mature, seasoned, family friendly and original. He's a singer/songwriter that has variety in his show. Some songs are just fun, others thought provoking, most have a lot of energy and humour. He is musically accessible and an honest performer with broad appeal and above all else his songs are honest and come from the heart. He recently formed Peter Light and the Luminaires with Gwen Potter and Dan Patterson.

With violist/singer Gwen adding wonderful musical flavour and Dan on bass, they keep audiences engaged playing a wide range of music.

This is what he was up to at festivals in 2013:

Tin Pan North (a songwriter's festival in Toronto)
Second appearance at the Eden Mills Arts Festival
Played Arkfest, a local music festival, in late June
Two separate Elora Arts Festivals in July
Performed a house concert in Muskoka and at an Art Gallery house concert In August
The Fergus Brewhouse on the Grand in August and at the Brantford Station Gallery
Performed at the Rural Romp in September
Debuted with Peter Light and The Luminaires at the Three Rivers Coffee House in November
Featured at many nearby folk clubs and open stages.

This year (2013) in 4th Annual Fergus Songwriting Competition he made it all the way to the finals. His skill as a writer and performer and his passion for music is growing daily.

Peter and Gwen were interviewed by CKWR-FM in Waterloo in late June/2012. They played five songs live in the studio. Three tracks from Only Halfway Home are still in rotation.

He did another interview with Nick Gush for the Arts and Entertainment Show on The Grand, 92.9 FM in Fergus that aired on February 24th, 2013.
