Founding member of the Pacific Northwest's Frequency dB, and Boston's formidable popsmith Peter Buzzelle delivered his sophomore set, Museum Of back in January, so it's criminal that it took us this long to get around to writing about it. Better late than never, I suppose. Museum Of is full of Buzzelle's astute and catchy as hell power pop, and at times it reminds us of the finest moments in the aforementioned genre such as The Posies' Frosting On The Beater, Matthew Sweet's Girlfriend, and Big Star's landmark #1 Record, while creating something engaging, original, and completely addicting. Peter recorded Museum Of at End Of The World Studios in Los Angeles with former Bostonian and Helicopter Helicopter/ Hello Dragon fronter Chris Zerby and at home in Jamaica Plain. The album's centerpiece, Nothing Can Break Me is damn near perfect, filled with heartbreak, defiance, and hope with a chorus that soars and sticks with you long after it's reached 3:38 running time. It's O.K. to play twice in fact we recommend you do so.

"It's interesting with Peter. He seems like he's pretty straightforward as an artist, but it's not true. He's a bit left of center which, of course, we always like. We won't hold it against him that he's from 'Bastin' (Boston)….probably a Sox fan."

"More than a decade after he left the Northwest and the Olympia-based noise-pop band he founded, Frequency dB, Peter Buzzelle is poised for a renaissance. Buzzelle delivers crystal-clear vocals over power-pop melodies with alarming ease."

"Peter's music is beautifully fluid, almost liquid perfection, fronted by guitar chords that are both exaggerated and mellow all at the same time. "

Bio
"Power Pop, Indie Rock, Noise Pop from Boston, MA...sounds something like that."
Peter's new full length entitled: 'Museum Of' was released Jan 2012 and is available at: http://peterbuzzelle.bandcamp.com/
Peter's songwriting is reminiscent of Matthew Sweet, Band Of Horses and Elliott Smith. He was heavily influenced by the 80’s new wave band, Depeche Mode and his experience as a drummer in the 90’s for the Northwest (Olympia, WA) band, Frequency dB. Peter was a founding member of Frequency dB and toured for over half a decade across the west coast of the United States with well known bands such as The Posies, Screaming Trees and Sweet 75 (Chris Novoselic).
Peter left the Northwest in 2000 to return to his home state of Massachusetts. He has performed as a solo artist in the greater New England area since 2001 while focusing on songwriting and production in the recording studio.
Buzzelle has written and recorded his newly released album “Museum Of” with the help of Chris Zerby (Helicopter Helicopter, Hello Dragon) his brother in law/producer from Los Angeles, California. “Museum Of” reflects Peter's personality and is available online in stores such as CD Baby, iTunes and 15 others.
Peter Buzzelle and his live band: SOUL CLINIC BIBLE SCHOOL have been performing together since 2011
