"PERENNIALS"

Chris and crew,

I bought a Perennials disc from you at the Underdogs Ball on Friday the 12th and you asked for feedback. First off, thanks again, I've been listening to it whenever I have a chance to since I got it which is more than I can say for a lot of other albums.
I went to the show with my friend's band and I was expecting to have to sit through a bunch of screaming, uninspired punk bands, but you guys rescued my ears! I was taken by your original sound; you stood out from the other bands quite nicely. The first thing I noticed, and it is ever present on your CD, was the way you have blended together classic rock sensibilities with a new rock sound to produce an interesting marriage.

It's so good to hear someone incorporating the sounds and styles that makes classic rock great into new music. The opening sounds of Perfect For Me remind me strongly of Yes' Spirit of Survival and it leads in to a totally awesome rock song. It's my favourite on the album right now. The guitars are
great; you make use of both guitars without making it sound too cluttered. The drums are solid and Eddie's skill with the bass is something I rarely hear among new bands.

The vocals and background vox run together well and create a really cool atmosphere in Closer. Hicktown flat out rocks along with The Explosives and Peons (this one I haven't been able to stop singing, it's damn catchy).
Perfect For Me, That Wish, and Ovadrive are all proof that you guys (and girl) really know how to rock and create great mood. And your cover of I Ran was a very surprising and nice touch. Great job on the intro and riff.
I wish you guys every bit of luck with the band and I will continue to enjoy the CD and will spread the word as best I can. I'll keep an eye out, if you ever come to the GTA for a show I hope to be there, you guys rock live.

Thanks again!
Peace out,
-Ryan Smith - Ryan Smith

Bio

From the ashes of the "Perennial Madness" album, guitarist Chris Demeanor Wilson Wilson and drummer Preston Boyd (from "UnderPopularity band") started looking for a new bassist. They found Frank Segedi from the infamous Crimson Jimson band, a synergy was cast and path was laid, PERENNIALS emerged. Adding back vocalist/percussionist Monica Morgan rounded out the eclectic foursome. Since then the band has been rocking out for years and although some members have come and gone the soul of the band is intact and in the music. Haling from Hamilton Ontario, in 2009 the band received the prestigious HMA for Rock Recording of the year for their Album "Alien-sphere." PERENNIALS are focused on playing live, producing and upping their skills. With Monica Morgan Wilson on drums and Pete Grove on bass guitar, PERENNIALS have found their sound released their latest in a trilogy "Hollywood Ending" following last years "This is Tomorrow" with the songs "Tonight" "Fiercely" and "Mad Lament" charting #1 and Top Ten on various musical platforms.
