Bio
Bred on classic rock, Peach are a fresh, hard hitting rock band from the UK, led by namesake frontman Matt Peach. Blending powerful no nonsense guitar riffology with infectious vocal lines, their aim is to bridge the chasm between modern pop and rock. Their live stage show is an assault on the senses, whether it's launching themselves into the crowd, simply singing along with the audience or leaping from the drum kit.
"Nothing's more important to me during a show than making each person in the audience feel like they're a member of the band, you gotta get everyone involved. No point in just standing there! If I don't come off dripping with sweat then I haven't worked hard enough," says vocalist Matt, "For me it's key that everyone goes away from the show feeling a little better than when they walked in. Might sound cheesy, but ain't that the point of music? We're not here for self indulgence, although the band is named after me - which is rather vain - I'll give you that!"
In December 2016 the band released ‘Rock n’ Roll Christmas’ which won the Thomann International Christmas Song Competition, received BBC airplay and earned over 8,000 hits on Peach’s youtube in just two weeks. During the summer of the same year the band began their support of the Love Hope Strength Foundation; the world’s leading music against cancer charity. They staged a special show in support of the foundation, signing up 45 people to the world bone marrow transplant register. Later in the same year they recorded a single ’Now’ with Steve ‘Smiley’ Barnard guesting on Drums (Lily Allen, Joe Strummer, Robbie Williams) and James Stevenson on guitar (The Cult, The Alarm, Kim Wilde, Generation X). This single will be released early in 2017 with all profits going to the Love Hope Strength Foundation.
Peach is an evolution of Matt's live solo band. All the members of Peach performed on Matt's first solo album 'The Bigger Picture’. The band will be releasing their debut ‘Blue Skies’ across three EPs throughout 2017.
'The Bigger Picture' is now available and features many fantastic guest musicians including James Stevenson (The Cult, The Alarm, Generation X), Adam Slack (The Struts) and Smiley (Joe Strummer, Lily Allen, Robbie Williams).
