Stunning -
Some of the most exciting new music to hit the airwaves in a while -
Smoky Americana -
Much more than the standard Nashville Americana shuffle and twang -
A whiskey-shined diamond in the rough -
Her songs are threaded with the smoke-filled stories of 3 a.m. drunks and back alley voices, but manage to walk that line between slinking off into the shadows and keeping one foot in the light of a passing car. - Joshua Pickard
Like a Lynchian lullaby – all brooding menace, and dark-eyed girls in riding boots. With guns. - Stuart Mc Bratney
She’s already been compared to Nick Cave. She sounds like a younger Patti Smith to many, she looks up to Lucinda Williams really. -

Bio
Born in France a coal miner's daughter, Pauline Andres made a name for herself with a sweet and smoky voice that “perfectly conveys the thoughts and observations of an old soul walking home at closing time.”
Her nonchalant style serves an inclination for the ordinary suffering and every day disappointments combined with subtle literary references. The songstress recently settled in Music City after spending 5 years in Berlin, where she recorded the accidental EP 'Fuck You French Girl' and 2 LPs: 'All Them Ghosts' and 'The Heart Breaks'. Both records helped her build a reputation as a unique lyricist and vocalist.
After the positive reception of 'The Heart Breaks' in the US, she decided to join “her” people, in the American South. This decision gave birth to her 3rd LP, to be released early 2018.
She’s written, composed, played and produced all the songs on the new record, faithful to her independent nature and work process. But for this new album, she wanted a bigger, better sound. And so she’s had help. Fom long time friend Jack Davis (Bear Witness Production) a Berlin based producer and multi-instrumentalist. But also from musicians she’s worked with before including Thomas Guiducci, Stefano Chiappo and Nashville based pedal steel champion Andy Ellison.
The record was mixed by grammy nominated engineer Ross Petersen, who’s worked with some of the biggest names in the industry including Andres' hero, Bruce Springsteen.
For the time being, Andres will call Nashville a home and play several shows in town this Fall. Catch her with a full band or at several local writers’ nights where she’ll showcase her many new songs with her weapon of choice: an acoustic guitar.
“Like Cline and Carter, Williams and Sandoval, Andres has helped us remember that it is often the simple things that will help us overcome” - The Revue
“A heart-wrenching lyricist whose words cut to the bone” - Bucket Full of Nails
