Palmer Reed

Palmer M Reed (born February 21, 1991) is a singer/songwriter/ who began performing at an early age at his community church. Raised in Orlando Florida, Palmer developed a keen taste and love for instruments such as piano, drums, and his favorite and most used, acoustic and electric guitars. Around the age of 14 Palmer had already decided what he wanted to spend the rest of his life doing:  Creating and performing soulful music that has and will touch the hearts of many people. "“I want to make music not for the money, but for the people; I want my music to relate to people lives and to help them through bad times. Just to let them know we can make it through this together”."

Creatively supported from a long line of musical influences within his family from soul and hip hop to gospel and jazz, Palmer's iconic influences include B.B. King, Kanye West, John Legend, James Morrison, Pharrell Williams, John Mayer, bob Marley, and Michael Jackson to name a few. As a fan of all genres of music, Palmer Reed's original lyrics are focused on love, passion, life, and the pursuit of happiness in an old-soul type of way; "You make me feel like it’s okay to believe. So close your eyes and see what I see."

Prior to working on his new album, Palmer networked in Orlando's acoustic scene honing his stage performance by producing 'Coffee Shop Jam Sessions'. At age 16, Palmer was awarded winner of the annual Zora Neale Hurston Festival for his rendition of "Dreaming with a Broken Heart”. As a performer, Palmer has not only Headlined many shows, but Opened for artists such as Talib Kweli, Morris Day and the Time, Afroman, Frankie Beverly and Maze,and many others.  Many of his performances can be experienced on YouTube.

Additionally, Palmer was awarded a Bright Futures scholarship and graduated with a bachelor's in  Sound and Music Production at Valencia Community College in Orlando, Florida in 2009. Palmer is very driven artist who you can catch performing in many venues in and around Orlando, he has a new project in the works that will not only touch his key fans but also, broaden his talents to reach new fans. For an artist like Palmer Reed, everything in life is viewed as a learning experience where he can tone his skills. In the words of Palmer himself “This is Life, Love and Sacrifice”.
