2008
In 2008 Ozark Henry plays a number of concerts in Paris, Amsterdam, Utrecht and Luxembourg as a prelude to the pan european distribution of his records. A luxury edition cd with initimistic versions of his songs are released exclusively in a one day only release with the quality newspaper : De Morgen.
On 25th & 26th of April Ozark Henry celebrates his 10th anniversary by playing “a decade” live at the Lotto Arena in Antwerp. Both concerts are sold out in no time.
2007
Ozark Henry plays a completely sold out Forest National concert in Brussels February 3rd for 8500 fans. He receives a Platinum Award for the sale of more than 40 000 copies of The Soft Machine and a Golden Award for the sale of more than 20 000 CD’s of This Last Warm Solitude, his second studio album. Further in February Ozark Henry receives a Zamu Award in the category Best Pop Rock artist and he is the first Belgian artist to receive an IFPI Award for Belgians most legally downloaded artist. May 27th brings Ozark Henry to Hollands biggest festival Pinkpop and July 20th at the reknown Francofolies festival in the French part of Belgium.
A remix version of Sun Dance with DJ’s Ruff & Jam again illustrates what a cameleon Piet Goddaer really is. On November 19th the CD release of “Ozark Henry a decade" concludes the first 10 years of Ozark Henry. 23 intimistic concerts in theatres all over Belgium are sold out in no time.
2006
'EASTER SUNDAY' dvd wins best dvd award at the Zamu Awards. By the end of May the CD’s 'These Days' gets out to announce a new and ambitious album. Early September, 'The Soft Machine', ozark henry's fifth album gets released in the Benelux and hits gold in presales, whilst 'birthmarks' and 'the sailor not the sea' reach double platinum.
2005
Piet gets awarded with the 'publieksprijs West-Vlaming van het jaar', gets nominated 4 times (best album, band, songwriter-composer, best song) for the Zamu Awards and wins the award for best songwriter-composer .Ozark Henry sells out 3 AB shows (easter weekend) in no time to
celebrate his successful tour november/ december 2004. The show on easter sunday gets taped to come out on DVD later that year.Ozark Henry accompanies the Dries Van Noten fashionshow in Paris. For the men's collection he works out a special version of la donna e mobile performed live with great orchestra. For the women collection he reworks 'every breath you take' with the original vocals of Sting.Ozark Henry headlines on Rock Werchter and Pukkelpop as the album goes platinum.September 'Easter Sunday' DVD gets released in the Benelux, as “the sailor not the sea” finally gets released in France.Before starting to work on a new album a final successful tour through the Benelux and France concludes 'the sailor not the sea' chapter.
2004
The Novastar album gets released early March and hits gold in no time.Piet writes and produces a new Ozark Henry album to perform it with guest musicians Jah Wobble, Jaki Liebezeit and of course Audrey Riley. The album is titled “The Sailor Not The Sea” and is to be released in October this Year.”Indian Summer” is the first single to be released and announces the new album loudly in the benelux as it is well received.Whilst “The Sailor Not The Sea” is hitting gold in no time, Birthmarks gets rewarded with platinum. Both albums are leading the charts.
2003
Piet Goddaer co-writes, arranges and produces the second coming album of Novastar, Another Lonely Soul.Again Piet is nominated 3 times for a Zamu Music Award (live-act, single, video).To close a successful campaign with the album Birthmarks a theatre tour is planned throughout November. The tour sells out in no time and is filmed by the national television to be broadcasted later on. In the light of a documentary on his life and work, Piet is followed for several months by a film crew of the national television.Ozark Henry headlines on all major festivals and is again one of the highlights of the Rock Werchter festival. (Ozark Henry made quite a remarkable appearance the year before as well). Piet performs with Toots Thielemans on a venue to celebrate the king's 10th birthday of his crown. 130.000 people show up for the concert.He collaborates as a composer in “A Change Of Light”, a complete music and visual art performance founded by Audrey Riley (Coldplay, Muse, Moloko, The Smiths) which premieres new works by Gavin Bryar, David Lang, Damian Le Gassick, Steve Hillier, Mark Brydon (Moloko) and of course Piet Goddaer.
2002
The second coming single Sweet Instigator makes of Birthmarks a commercial success.Piet Goddaer gets 4 times nominated for the Zamu Music Awards and goes home with 2 Awards (Best Act - Best Producer).After a successful summer Birthmarks gets a Gold Award.To celebrate all this, Ozark Henry plays 2 shows in the AB in Brussels. Both shows sell out in a stunning tempo. Only Deus in 1999 knew a success comparable to this. The soundtrack for the prestige tv film Sedes& Bell
