The little known gem that is Oskar Empire brilliantly conjures up the spirits of fellow pop/rock bands such as Blink 182 and You Me At Six. The hotly tipped band have such shout along hooks they will leave you reaching for the stepsils the next morning. With their combination of angst soaked pop/rock songs and endless amounts of energy, you can really see why so many people are starting to take notice of the band.
A 4 piece from the north of Scotland, the young pop/rock band recorded their first song 'Hide and Seek' which was featured on the popular netsounds unsigned podcasts and The Pop Cop. They are currently in the process of recording their debut EP and after being named in The Pop Cops top 10 tips of 2012, they were also nominated for 'best newcomer' at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards.
Craig Sutherland (Vocals), Liam Stewart (Guitar), Stephen Coull (Bass) and Ross Bain (Drummer) cite fellow pop/rock influences like You Me at Six, Paramore and Blink 182 to name a few. Big things are expected of the Highlanders as they attempt to make their mark on the music scene.
