...If there is one word that describes One Less Reason, it's intense. Intense lyrics, intense vocals, intense guitars, and intense emotions are poured into every song on this stellar debut record. From the opening track, "What you Are..." to the impressive new single "Really Bad Analogy", One Less Reason's intensity never waivers. Perhaps the most impressive track on this CD is the song "Favorite Color" which showed promise when Universal sent the song out to radio last year. The unforgettable hook is what makes this song so incredible, and so deserving of a place in the spotlight on modern radio... - Alternative Addiction
Rock band One Less Reason is a good reason to listen to rock. With their international fan base, soulful lyrics and easy style, they are one of Tennessee's rising stars. - The Pacer, University of Tennessee
...Casual listeners will no doubt be tempted to draw comparisons between Eddie Vedder or Scott Stapp (especially on tracks like "If you want me"), but the fact is that Brown's voice has an edge to it that somehow makes him out grunge even the kings and pretenders. The band behind him demonstrates their chops on songs like "A day to be alone", following his cutting performance with the backings of a sweet piano and violin ensemble before the bass takes it up a notch and rocks the detente....If you miss the old days of rock on the radio, load One Less Reason into your iPod and welcome music back! - Indie Update
...The most impressive track on this album however is the closing song, "September". Not only does the EP's title come from a lyric on this track, but the whole sound and definition of what makes One Less Reason such a captivating band is encapsulated in this single track. Pouring raw emotion out in every lyric, and wearing his heart on his sleeve, Brown sings what could be the most impressive song the band has ever recorded. While this EP should easily bring One Less Reason the major label attention they deserve, the band will be content with securing their title as the most over looked band in modern rock today. - Alternative Addiction
Orlando, FL~ One Less Reason has just been added to the much aniticipated 10 Years tour that kicks off early next month. The unsigned Myspace phenoms have managed to grab a few endorsement deals and a movie soundtrack and have rocked their way into the hearts of 95,000 Myspace fans. The band has long been a favorite of the Southeast, selling out shows in Memphis, Jackson and Macon and spending time on radio playlists from Michigan to Mississippi. One Less Reason's multi-format music and cross market appeal has postioned them for huge radio success. "They are in an incredible position, marketing wise" says their publicist Stephanie Christie, "To be able to open for acts like One Republic and book Top 40 radio interviews one day and dominate the charts of Alternative Addiction and active rock radio the next day is quite impressive."
Their numbers show them selling 30,000 units independently and logging 100,000 downloads. Their website welcomes upwards of 12,000 visitors each day, so it is no wonder why retailers are knocking on the door of this unsigned wonder. They just inked a deal with BUCKLE clothing stores that will have their music spinning in every one of their retail outlets nationwide. The company also plans to use the bands image for print and promotional purposes. This comes on the heels of another clothing sponsorship from Brazilian 'green retailers' GOOC. The environmentally friendly company has just launched it's line of products here in the U.S that include t-shirts, shoes and accessories made from recycled materials such as tires, plastic bottles and canvas and feels that One Less Reason reaches the brand's demographic.
The most exciting news this month, however, has to be the announcement of the release of the feature film "Hero Wanted" which features the band's hottest single "A Day To Be Alone". The movie stars Cuba Gooding Jr. and Ray Liotta and is schedule to hit select theatres on April 29.

With passionate music, intense vocals and songs that parallel the day to day issues that we all face, One Less Reason touches people in a way that fosters a fierce loyalty and connection between band and fan that is rare in music today. OLR is Cris Brown (vocals), Jason Dyer (drums), Jeremy Jones (lead guitar) and Jerry Baily (bass), but it is also much bigger than any of the individual members. OLR is truly a family. The band is as devoted to their fans as their fans are to the band. With over 100,000 Myspace friends, OLR has become an internet phenomenon that proves that it is possible to draw a fan from virtually every demographic. With a recent string of radio successes and sold out shows throughout the Southeast and Midwest, One Less Reason is writing a story that is increasingly impossible to ignore. With their explosive live performance, they have captured the attention of the media and have become crowd favorites at showcases and music festivals such as FMF and Memphis in May. Their consistent draw has earned them the honor of opening for acts like Shinedown, Godsmack, Taking Back Sunday, Aaron Lewis, One Republic, Theory of a Deadman, Black Stone Cherry, Hinder, Seether and 10 Years. They continue to dominate the charts at Alternative Addiction with their latest single "Seasons" which held the number one spot for a month and has remained on the chart for 15 weeks.
Although radio spins often elude the unsigned, this act has managed to grab rotation on 102.3 in Jackson,TN, Z95 in Poplar Bluff, MO, Z98.5 Tupelo,MS and Nashville's favorite 102.9 The Buzz.
