Sometimes there's a bit of a disconnect between the emcee's cadence and the instrumentals they choose to spit over (ie: every person that decided to jump on the "Control" bandwagon, especially Papoose.) Though it may not seemingly fit together, a smart and well-versed emcee will more often than not jump at the opportunity to make the beat their own. Enter D. Glove, the young and charismatic rapper straight outta Minnesota who we've featured in the past. Doing his thing over Big KRIT's "1986", "1992 (Freeverse)" has Glove flowing the horn heavy, Bobby Womack-sampled jam by incorporating his own flavour with the beat. Directed by Glen Ellingson, the video is comprised of a number of simple, straightforward shots of the rapper, a refreshing change of pace from the excessive visuals coming from most of today's artists. - Nick Vukorepa - EarMilk.com
One of the artists we’ve sponsored a while back, D. Glove, hopped on tour with Macklemore and opened up for a sold out show in Sioux Falls, SD. Check it out, it’s a pretty turned up crowd. - THEDEAN - UniversityHype.com
Our homie D. Glove just sent us a recap video from his performance with G-Eazy at Derby Days down at the U of M. This show had over 2500 in attendance and they both killed the stage. Check out the footage below! - GrowYourFlow
