Crawling from the cornfields near Ames, IA, Obsidian's Dream was born at a Halloween party in the Iowa countryside.
OD had strange adventures in Wisconsin and Minnesota in 2006, and shared the stage with the usual great regional bands. In 2007 OD played at premier events such as Wakarusa Music Festival in Kansas. During following years, epic times were had in the college towns, the big cities, in small town honky-tonks and at blissful gatherings in the Iowa backwoods.
After a long winter break, Todd C of Floodplane and Great Big Freak fame joined up, and the new OD took shape. Todd on drums, Dean from Grooveyard/Unaband on keys, Shaggy (guitar and vocals) and Bert (bass and vocals) from Silas Marner, and a man named Fook on guitar and vocals.
With an emphasis on constructed vocals and creative instrumentation, OD returned in late 2010 with some serious Fook. Look for us in the usual places!
