The final link in the chain to enhance the perfect combination of talent was JP's brother, Anthony "ACE in the Hole" Pergamo who was born March 23 1957. Everything was happening for the 'Nu-Clear Energy Band, and for the Pergamos when a car accident took Ace's life, and left JP badly injured. It took five years for John to fully recuperate and the Nu-Clear Energy Band languished.
On the positive side, Drummer Derek Reese, a Prodigy of Ace Pergamo studied drums under Pergamo at the ripe age of 3 years old. An amazing musician in his own right, Derek is also a talented guitarist and song writer.
