Bio
Mauvonte “Nu-Rev” Roberts was born in Manhattan, NY. Moving between New York City, Atlanta, and Baltimore with such influences as MF DOOM, Nas, Mos Def, and KRS-One. Nu-Rev started rapping at age 11. He began working on his debut mixtape Genesis while living in Atlanta before being contacted by Ill Product with an interest sign to their newly established independent label. Nu-Rev decided to relocate back to Baltimore to finish the Genesis mixtape and sign as the first artist under Elavate Records.
Genesis was released on Friday January 22, 2016 and is available for download from the SoundCloud. The day after release track 2, Nautilus, reached the daily top four Heatseekers track from HotNewHipHop.com. A week after release Renada Romain featured and national debuted Nu-REV's Writing in Flannels on her SiruisXM radio show Ear Candy.
