These artists impressed us with their vocals, instrumentation and overall sound:
This Israeli born singer/songwriter cites legends Simon & Garfunkel, Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan as her musical influences and does them all proud with her equally gorgeous songs and voice. With one album and performances including opening for Suzanna Vega under her belt, Bentor is now working on her second album, “Modern Grace.” Bentor received help in producing the album by receiving donations from fans via the site Kickstarter, all the while vowing to thank each of them for their contributions. Her obvious love for her fans and her soothing voice, intelligent lyrics and acoustic melodies make her and her music irresistible. Fans of Jewel, Alanis Morissette and Cat Power will definitely love Noa Bentor. - collegenews.com
Noa Bentor, who grew up between Israel, Australia and New-York will be the opening act for Suzanne Vega's 2 shows in Israel. Noa's debut album came out in 2005 and she is currently working on her second album. Noa was chosen personally by Vega herself. - nrg -maariv
"in her new album "modern grace", nothing is over the top- too big, too obvious.. on the contrary- it's simple and beautiful and just right...
the words are gentle and the sentences don;t use extra power, just soft magic..." - acgbar-hai'r
This album is perhaps calm music wise- but it creeps in you in every other aspect. In this album there is a dialogue between music and texts, where the severe texts are soften by the music- giving the texts attribute of hope rather than despair.. She has a wonderful voice, I’m always glad to find a singer who controls her vocal like an instrument. - the marker cafe
“Artists of the night are the most enlightened. Legend says that only those who accept upon them the darkness can see even the tiniest light. This is Noa Bentor- a musician at the highest level that can peel your skin and get beneath the layers of your body.it is always exciting to see an artist that is so connected to the words and music and pours them into a blend of her own.. Bentor has the qualities of an international singer and songwriter with a wonderful collection of vocal, writing and composing. Bentor's album is like a white pearl in a black oyster. She manages to cover us with the pestering darkness while pouring bright colors into us- that only if we peel and open the oyster we'll be able to recognize. This isn’t a 'hit and run' album, you need to listen deeply to it.”

“Bentor's expression is characterized with simplicity that is beautiful and captivating. Her honey voice is enchanting. She sings with sweetness and restraint even the hardest texts, and she has a lot of those. She has a dreamy softness, sensuous and inviting, on the verge of erotica”
“Her music is a combination of folk, jazz, cabaret. She combines also hints of classical opera. A combination of Billie Holiday, Merlin Monroe, Sade. A Bel Canto singer. A voice of honey, sexy, with yearning that kills you softly” - Amos Oren- The Stage

Bio
Noa Bentor is an Israeli singer- songwriter who rose to
prominence as an entertainer at the age of twenty after moving to New York, where she studied and lived for five years.
With influences from such musical icons as Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan and Janis Ian to Cat Power, Beck and Wilco, Noa's performance deftly communicates solid melody coupled with punchy lyrics and masterful string work.
But perhaps it's is the voice that Noa gives to the human condition surrounding issues of angst, love and day to day living that make her compelling to the the adult contemporary market and a magnet to the soft alternative genre.
In 2005, she recorded her debut album "Waiting on a Shelf", which garnered her recognition as one of Tel-Aviv's premier artists and prompted an opportunity for her to be the opening act for Suzanne Vega at her promotional concert tours held in Tel-Aviv in 2009.
Due to an illness, Noa had to cancel her performances at SXSW and Toronto music festival, and was on leave for 2 years. A year ago, when she found out her illness is back, she felt the urge to go back to write, sing and perform.. songs that capture pain, struggle, questions of life and love‌
Her new and 3rd album – Love & Darkness- came out July 2015.
