Ninadavo

Ninadavo began when David Jorgensen and Christina Osborn, two prominent songwriters in the St. George music scene, chanced to meet in early 2010 through a mutual friend. Christina had only begun writing songs the year before, but had been singing for years. David, a veterean guitarist, songwriter, and hairstylist offered to give her guitar lessons so she might improve her ability to have good song ideas.

The first lesson transformed the two into a songwriting partnership. Each had talents that filled the gaps in the other's songwriting. Christiina's love of imagery and metaphors balances perefectly with David's gift for straightforward, meaningful lyrics. David's extensive knowledge of music and Christina's natural melodic sense combine to create accessible, but still interesting, songs.

Christina has been heavily influenced by her love of books, especially history, fantasy, and science fiction. David writes empowerment songs and performs and speaks widely at self-help conferences around the US and Mexico.

The two are broadly influenced, and are constantly looking for new music while honoring the classic masters. From Joni Mitchell to Burt Bacherach to Steve Hackett to Derrel Scott to Yes to The Rippingtons, they try to glean elements of style from each of their favorites.
