Nikki and the Human Element

We are a NYC based original indie rock band starting a revolution to get all people together to hear great rock and roll.  We play edgy rock and roll with important  relatable life themes.  We have been likened to Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin and Santana.   Every gig is a fun, inclusive community event with a fundraiser.   We are going after a big dream and hope to inspire others to go after their own.  As we go you go!!!!    We have played out all around nyc to consistently large crowds at Alphabet Lounge, Ella, Bitter End, Tammany Hall, Spin, Otto's Shrunken Head, DROM and Pianos to name a few.   We have national recognition with full length radio shows with Artist First radio.

 Nikki Neretin, MD, Doc-star. (lead singer, guitarist and creator) is the Director of Homeless Services for the Institute for Family Health in NYC.  A professional singer, she works as a doctor for fun and to pay the bills.  Her work with street homeless clients for the last 20 years has helped to create the meaningful backdrop of this influential and important music.  Nikki uses her vast experiences with the three M's - medicine, music and motherhood - to inspire many others and now is taking a platform during these unsure times.  Her inspirational ability to connect with many make her stage performace important and memorable.  She has been playing in popular local bands for many years and fronted the well known Pretenders tribute band, Nikki and the Tattooed Love Boys.  She has been likened to Ann Wilson and Janis Joplin with a fun and inspirational stage show.
