Nick Racht

Nick Racht is a 21 year-old singer/songwriter from Southern California and is best described as one who is truly passionate, ambitious and dedicated to his purpose and dream for his music. Since childhood, Nick knew that the connection he had with music was like no other. Singing came with speaking, as performing came with walking, and music was an obvious love from the beginning. His joy as a child was locking himself up in his room, dancing and singing all day to his favorite music until his neighbors knew all the words to Nysnc’s “Bye, Bye, Bye”. Nick would watch and admire his favorite performers: Elvis, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Steven Tyler, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce and many more knowing that it was his destiny to become a performing and recording artist.

His real connection to music surfaced as a teen when he began writing his thoughts through lyrics. This creativity carried on when he began constructing original melodies, thus making his own music. Songs of his such as “Can’t Believe”, “Hydrate”, “Formula” and many more started with a melody he could not stop humming. Songs like “Wanna See”, “Electrified”, “Blind By Your Glow” and many others began as his feelings transitioned into a lyrical format. The sound that Nick has originated for himself is a blend of infectious pop, heart-driven soul, with a “RACHT” (rock) edge. Nick’s music is compared to artists such as Lady Gaga, Blake Lewis, Sam Sparro, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and John Legend.

In the beginning of 2008, Nick knew it was time to finally pursue his dream and start making his dream a reality. He began recording his music in May of 2008, and by October of that year, had assembled his first EP called Pronounced R-O-C-K (on iTunes now). Currently, he is working on recording a full-length album, which will showcase who he is as an artist and songwriter in greater depth. He is always ecstatic to have great opportunities to be able to get his music heard, and to do what he loves the most, which is performing.

Nick is more than pleased to hear when people can relate to his music, evoke new positive feelings from it, and most of all, derive inspiration from it. Nick’s desire is to soon sign with a record label, begin his career in music, and fulfill his dream of sharing his music with the world.
