"Cutter Nuxon - Fast Track to Success"
Cutter Nuxon...."has swooped onto the music scene hungry (I mean hungry, like starving wolves), and with enough raw energy, talent, and determination to get noticed."
"The band's three members are Nick Hader on guitar, vocals, songwriter; Drew Schempf on drums; and Gizz Rivera on bass. Gizz and Drew were recently lifted (as a set) from the band, Indictment. All bring their own experience and musical influences to the game... Gizz was mostly devoted to exploring back catalogs of classic rock titans like Cream, the Allman Bros, Jimi Hendrix, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Lynyrd Shynyrd, and other icons from that era.
Drew credits The Doors and Deep Purple with some of his early musical shaping. For Nick, he's been influenced by such greats as rock and roll legend Led Zeppelin, and blues master Buddy Guy. "I'm huge into blues!" he says. And, indeed, his writing glows with a blue tinge. That, and some folk flavoring, but the sound is pure "old school rock and roll,"....Cutter Nuxon is all back beat, heavy bass, and screaming guitar riffs. It's icing on the cake that Nick's vocals belt out rich and full-bodied....

Bio
Born in the Midwest and raised in the company of strong family ties and good friends. Nick began his musical passion early, inspired by his families’ love of song, the woods of Ohio and the lakes of Michigan.
Nick’s interest in music was evident from an early age as he would run into the family room to hear the jingles on television commercials and then run to the piano to pick them out on the keys. His parents recognized his early talents. He took piano lessons at 5 and got his first guitar when he was 8 or 9. He took guitar and piano lessons in the beginning but became disillusioned by the formalized instruction and consequently put music aside.
When Nick was 12 his family moved to the Foothills of Colorado. Although he was an accomplished athlete, his true passion of music was reignited when his lifelong friend Rob, from Ohio, came to visit and taught him how to play power cords.
Nick attended Jefferson County Open High School which allowed and supported his development as a musician and songwriter. While hiking and playing his guitar on Evergreen Mountain, Nick connected to his muse and the songs began to pour forth. He wrote music, lyrics and played and preformed with a variety of friends who shared his passion in coffee houses, clubs and festivals. After high school, Nick attended Metro State University and The Academy of the Arts to study music and voice.
After years of playing and writing many styles of music, anywhere from Punk Rock to Acoustic Folk; Nick began fusing different styles together creating his unique sound.
After a few years, the opportunity to move to Los Angeles presented itself. Knowing the talent and reputation of the L.A. music scene, Nick was completely up for the challenge.
Nick played several of L.A.’s local clubs, Open Mic’s and private parties. He connected with Swing House Studios, worked with Producer, Warren Huart on his EP and mastered by Shelly Yakus.
So far, Nick has played with some great players, he has met a ton of good people...At the moment he is playing solo, his most recent gigs - three shows at the Viper Room and two shows at The House of Blues.
The music can be described as ...you be the judge.
