Nicholas Johnson is a product of the hills and hollers of south central Kentucky. But the sound he produces is anything except what you would expect from this southerner. This former member of the regionally popular band Every Other Thursday takes his distinctively southern and melancholy vocal stylings and focuses on driving acoustic melodies that instantly catch your ear. After playing everywhere from his hometown of Bowling Green, Kentucky to the Rocky Mountains of Ft. Collins, Colarado and Wyoming to the midwest in Champaign, Illinois and Indianapolis, Indiana, the singer-songwriter has found a home in the New York music scene. Chosen as Gap's Born to Play performer and a New York 'Emerging Artist', Johnson has steadily garnered recognition for his dynamic live performances. Nicholas Johnson is a young artist on the rise, and with his upcoming debut album set for release this year he will definitely be one to keep your eyes and ears on.
